After his brother sacrificed himself to Hell to take Lucifer down, Dean Winchester has retired from hunting, sworn to never return to that life because of a final promise he made his little brother. He has a life, a family - or had one. That was until the reappearance of his brother, Sam. Sam Winchester, having escaped from Hell thanks to an unknown power along with his grandfather, is back, carrying on the business of saving people and hunting things - cleaning up the mess left in the aftermath of the Apocalypse.
Though reunited, the brothers relationship isn’t what it used to be, and nothing is what it seems on the surface. Now relearning what it means to be brothers and friends, Dean and Sam Winchester are back on the front lines, fighting against the new and old monsters that have come out to play. With the help of the now powerful angel Castiel and trustworthy Bobby Singer, the brothers face familiar faces and old foes -- all just waiting to make another attempt on the brothers lives.
